Our pledge to referring providers
We respect and understand the unique environment of the San
Francisco Bay Area.
We respect and understand the use of alternative treatments
as may be guided by other practitioners involved in patient care.
This includes chiropractic, acupuncture, etc.
We will not knowingly refer the patient out or perform a
procedure if the the referring practitioner already performs
that service.
We respect and appreciate the input of all practitioners
involved in patient care.
We use an EMR system live at each appointment and are able
to provide reports of patient consultations usually immediately at the time of the
conclusion of the appointment.
Many practitioners refer chronic pain patients for a one-time evaluation of the present treatment regimen. In those cases, we are pleased to review the present treatment plan and also to offer additional ideas should the present treatment plan cease to provide the expected benefit or should the present treatment plan need to change because of side effects, insurance coverage changes or other reasons.
The migraine headache medication reduction consultation
With the new information about pain medications taken more than eight times per month doubling the risk of an intermittent headache transforming into a daily headache, there is a new emphasis on re-evaluating headache treatments.
Neurological consultation
Dr. Anderson also continues his neurology practice, in addition to the pain management practice. Epilepsy, Parkinson's, neuropathies, etc., are an integral part of a neurology practice.
