The following email goes DIRECTLY to Dr. Anderson, not to Peter. Please do not send email intended for others. Email is for our CURRENT PATIENTS only. As it may take a few days to respond, especially on the weekends, please do not send any emergency issues via email.

For Medical issues you can send a secure email directly to Dr. Anderson. There are FIVE boxes you can use when filling out the secure email form:

Anti-spam image - type in the 4 digits shown

Attach file - optional, such as lab results, etc.,

Open message - not secure, use only for subject, basic information, etc., but NOT for private medical information, and

Secure message - this is the private section; put all private and confidential information in this section only.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH IN THE EMAIL!

SECURE EMAIL

 

As you may know, there is a law in the United States that prevents physicians and patients from communicating about private medical information through standard email. The law is designed to protect your private medical information from hackers and others who might have access to your email. At the same time, patients have very strongly asked for email access to their physicians. 

 

We now are evaluating a secure email system that meets privacy requirements.

 

This email system connects DIRECTLY to Dr. Anderson, who will respond to your medical issues. This email system is for non-emergency medical questions and issues for the doctor.

 

It is NOT for appointment scheduling, billing issues or other routine business.

 

COSTS: Currently, we are offering this service at no charge to our patients. We have to purchase this email system from a private company. Because your insurance plan does not cover the costs of this optional service, there may be a minimum charge in the future (a few dollars per year, less if many patients wish to use email, and more if few patients wish to use email...).

 

PRIVACY: We are using a private company to send and deliver email messages securely. We believe that this private company will protect your private data in accordance with Federal and State Law. If you use this email service, you agree to hold us harmless should the private company fail to meet its promises of privacy.

 

PASSWORD SECURITY: Each patient must have a password to open the received mail. We will provide a password hint for some information that the patient would know, in the return response.
